The NS Design NXTa Electric Cello has a satisfyingly compact, solid-body build loaded with active electronics, which gives it the edge over traditional acoustic cellos in more than one way. For a start, the design does away with wolf tones, and it also counters feedback and gives players to freedom to roam around the stage and play solos at any volume. Also, since the sound stems from the built-in pickup, you have the option to run a looper or expand your setup with other effect pedals to enhance your sound.

This 4-string electric cello features a maple body and neck, a stunning flamed maple veneer top with a matching headstock, and a satin sunburst finish for added elegance. The NXTa 4 has been finished with subtle fretboard position markers that make it that bit easier to find the right pitch, and comes including a stand a sturdy gig bag.

The beating heart of this professional instrument is the Polar directional piezo system, which comes with the option to toggle between active and passive mode. Designed to ensure ultra-accurate string vibration capture whether you pluck the strings or play with a bow, this advanced pickup system also sets you up with an Arco/Pizzicato switch, allowing you to unleash every last drop of creativity and deliver maximally expressive sound.
